Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has been consulting with relevant stakeholders on the proposed changes to the Federal Skilled Worker Program. Due to the high volume of responses, CIC has decided to extend the consultation period until March 31.

“Skilled immigration matters and many people have a stake in making sure the program benefits Canada. Given the level of interest we’ve received to date, we’re extending to make sure we allow everyone who wants it the opportunity to provide their feedback,” said Immigration Minister Kenney.

Individuals and organizations can submit their views on the proposed changes on CIC’s website. The results of the consultations are expected to be released this spring/summer.
