the CanadaVisa Team - 28 January, 2019
Individuals looking to sponsor their parents and/or grandparents were able to submit their expressions of interests on January 28 during a brief reopening of the Interest to Sponsor Form.
The form, which was only available for a short window of time on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)'s website, is the first step for any potential sponsor looking to sponsor a parent or grandparent for Canadian permanent residence.
Following the elimination of duplicates, IRCC will apply a first-in, first-served approach to invite potential sponsors who have accurate and complete Interest to Sponsor forms.
Individuals who receive an invitation to apply must submit a complete application package to IRCC, along with the supporting documents, within 60 calendar days.
For further details on this latest opening of the PGP, please read the following the latest CIC News story.
If you receive an invitation to apply to the Parents and Grandparents Program, you may email pgp@canadavisa.com to learn about the next steps regarding your application.
