The Government of Canada has launched a new information campaign to help temporary resident visa applicants in India to navigate the application process.
The information campaign launched on June 17, 2019, by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has three main objectives:
• Inform temporary resident visa applicants on ways to speed-up the application process.
• Educate applicants on the ways to protect themselves from immigration fraud and unauthorized immigration consultants.
• Provide applicants with information about the best channels to use when applying for a Canadian visa.
Over the past year, 297 000 people have travelled to Canada from India and, as that number continues to increase, it has become critical to inform and raise awareness among potential temporary resident visa applicants about the process.
The information campaign ads will circulate through the month of June 2019 and will appear on the radio and in newspapers, as well as on new media sources such as Facebook and Google. The content will be available in English, French, Punjabi and Hindi.
