Canada issued 3,200 invitations in the last Express Entry draw of 2019.
On December 19, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), invited candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residence.
Those invited needed to have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 469 to be chosen for this round.
Candidates are awarded a score under the CRS based on factors such as age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French.
The previous draw on December 11 had a CRS requirement of 472.
The Express Entry system manages the pool of eligible candidates for Canada's three main pathways for economic-class immigrants to obtain permanent residence: Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.
The highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through regular draws from the pool.
