About Express Entry
Express Entry is Canada’s main method used by the federal government to bring foreign skilled workers to this country by offering permanent residence.
Express Entry is not the name of another Canadian immigration program. In reality, Express Entry is simply the system used to manage skilled worker applications from the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Applying for permanent residence in Canada through Express Entry starts with confirming eligibility for any of the three programs contained within Express Entry. From there, candidates will need to submit an Express Entry profile with IRCC and check their CRS score.
A candidate's CRS score is vital to determining if they receive an invitation to apply (ITA).
Express Entry applicants will have 60 days from when they receive their ITA to complete and submit their electronic application for permanent residence (eAPR) in Canada.
