Here are the results of Canada's most recent Express Entry draw on February 1, 2023.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has sent out 893 invites to those applying for Canadian permanent residence in the latest draw. This draw only selected from eligible candidates who applied to a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

This is a diversion from the typical all-program draws that invite candidates from any of the three programs contained under Express Entry: the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

Today's draw invited applicants with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 733. The tie-breaking date and time for this draw was 10:49:57 UTC on December 9, 2022.

Express Entry candidates still in the applicant pool can expect Canada to conduct another draw in around two weeks.

About Express Entry

Express Entry is the federal Canadian government's primary method for bringing skilled foreign workers to this country. This is accomplished by offering permanent residence (PR) in Canada to these skilled workers.

Using the Express Entry application management system to become a Canadian permanent resident involves several steps. First, Express Entry requires that foreign skilled workers seeking entry into Canada ensure that they are eligible for at least one of the three programs that fall under this system. After verifying that they are eligible for at least one of these programs, Express Entry applicants can submit an online profile through IRCC's website and subsequently review their CRS score.

Roughly every two weeks, IRCC holds a random draw that will select Express Entry candidates who are above the cut-off CRS score for that draw and invite them to apply for Canadian PR after receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Applicants who receive an ITA will have exactly 60 days to now complete and upload their PR application online to IRCC.
