A recent study by Manpower Inc, which assessed people's willingness to move for work, found that Canada is a top destination of choice for workersaround the world. Canada ranks in fourth place, behind the United States, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
According to the survey by the global employment services firm, 78 per cent of people are willing to move for work; 41 percent are willing do sopermanently. People's mobility is closely tied to age and education level, with people under the age of 30 expressing a greater willingness to move forwork as well as people with university degrees.
The study found higher pay and career advancement opportunities as the two main drivers of worker mobility.
The jobs most commonly filled by foreign workers are engineers, production operators, technicians, and information technology staff.
