British Columbia has issued new invitations to candidates in its Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration streams on November 24.

A total of 360 Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration invitations were issued through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).

The minimum score in this latest draw ranged between 75-94 for candidates in the Skilled Worker category and International Graduate categories in both the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams:

  • Skills Immigration - Skilled Worker candidates needed a minimum score of 93
  • Skills Immigration - International Graduate candidates needed a minimum of 94 points
  • Skills Immigration - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled candidates needed at least 75 points
  • Express Entry BC - Skilled Worker candidates needed a minimum of 92 points
  • Express Entry BC - International Graduate candidates needed at least 93 points

Individuals interested in immigrating to Canada through the BC PNP must begin the process by creating an online profile with the BC PNP and submitting a completed registration form.

Applicants’ profiles are assessed and assigned a score based on factors that include education, work experience and proficiency in English or French.

In order to be eligible for any Express Entry BC categories, candidates must have an active profile in the federal Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three Federal High Skilled immigration programs—the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination for permanent residence through the Express Entry BC Stream receive an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Express Entry draws usually occur every two weeks. The latest Express Entry draw took place on November 18, with 5,000 immigration candidates invited to apply for permanent residence—the largest number of invitations issued in a single draw in the history of Express Entry.
