The province of British Columbia has issued invitations to 403 candidates in its Skills Immigration Stream in draws that took place January 17 and January 24.
B.C. also issued 15 invitations to candidates in province's Entrepreneur Immigration Stream.
The January 24 draw was limited to the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)’s Tech Pilot program, which supports B.C.’s technology sector in its efforts to recruit talent through weekly draws.
In the January 17 draw, the BC PNP issued invitations to skilled workers and international graduates through the Skills Immigration — Skilled Worker, Skills Immigration — International Graduate, Express Entry BC — Skilled Worker and Express Entry BC — International Graduate categories.
The minimum score for each category was as follows:
- Skills Immigration — Skilled Worker: 75
- Skills Immigration — International Graduate: 70
- Skills Immigration — Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 40
- Express Entry BC — Skilled Worker: 75
- Express Entry BC — International Graduate: 70
The minimum score in the Entrepreneur Stream draw was 115.
Applicants who received an invitation to apply now have up to 30 calendar days from the date of invitation to submit a complete application via the BCPNP Online registration system. An invitation to apply does not guarantee you will be approved for nomination.
In order to be considered under the BC PNP, most candidates must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province who is willing to support them through the application process.
