the CanadaVisa Team - 02 October, 2019
British Columbia issued new invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence to Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates.
The October 1 invitations were issued to the Skilled Workers, International Graduates and Entry level and Semi-skilled Worker categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
The minimum scores for this draw ranged between 78 and 101 points.
EEBC categories are open to immigration candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three Federal High Skilled immigration programs—the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination for permanent residence receive an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
Candidates in the Skilled Worker, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, and International Graduate categories are required to register with the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) after completing a profile with the BC PNP’s online system.
SIRS is a points-based system used by the BC PNP to evaluate candidates based on factors such as education, work experience and proficiency in English and French.
All invited Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer with an employer in B.C.
The CanadaVisa Skills Immigration Registration System Calculator can help you determine how many points you may be awarded under the BC PNP’s SIRS.
