The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued new invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence to immigration candidates registered under various categories of the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC Streams.
The March 26 invitations were issued to the Skilled Workers, International Graduates and Entry level and Semi-skilled Workers categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Skills Immigration and Express Entry British Columbia streams.
The Express Entry BC stream is available to immigration candidates with an active federal Express Entry profile. The Express Entry system manages the profiles of candidates eligible for Canada's three main Federal High Skilled immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
If nominated, candidates invited under the Express Entry BC stream will obtain an additional 600 points toward their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
The remainder of the candidates nominated under the Skills Immigration Stream: Skilled Worker, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, and International Graduate categories will have their permanent residence application processed with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) separate from the Express Entry system.
All candidates invited in this draw had to first register with the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and receive a registration score. SIRS is the BC PNP's unique points-based system used to evaluate candidates on their educational credentials, work experience and English or French language proficiency.
Candidates invited in the March 26 draw must provide proof of an indeterminate, full-time job offer with an eligible employer in British Columbia.
An additional 23 invitations went out to BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration candidates with registration scores as low as 106.
