The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 28 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination on September 26 to British Columbia immigration candidates registered in the province's tech pilot program.

All candidates invited by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) must have a job offer that is at least one year (365 days) in duration in one of the BC PNP Tech Pilot's 29 key occupations.

If nominated by British Columbia, Express Entry BC candidates will be awarded an additional 600 additional points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), out of a possible total of 1,200. With the additional points, a candidate is well-positioned to obtain an Invitation To Apply for Canadian permanent residence at a later federal draw from the Express Entry pool.

Skills Immigration candidates nominated by the province will have their applications for Canadian permanent residence processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) separate from the Express Entry system.
