British Columbia invited 73 Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in a new Tech Pilot draw held July 16.
The Government of British Columbia issued 61 invitations to skilled workers and international graduates in a new Tech Pilot draw held August 13.
The Tech Pilot allows international tech workers that have an eligible job offer in one of 29 occupations in the technology sector to obtain an accelerated pathway to Canadian permanent residence. The job offer must have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application to the BC PNP.
This is the tenth consecutive Tech Pilot draw with a minimum score of 90 in each of the four Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration categories targeted.
Invited candidates under the Express Entry BC stream who are approved for a British Columbia provincial nomination will receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points toward their Express Entry profile.
The BC PNP: Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) is a points-based system that evaluates candidates based on factors like education, work experience and proficiency in English or French.
