British Columbia issued 63 new Tech Pilot invitations to Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration candidates in a draw held December 3.
Invitations went to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams.
A minimum provincial score of 90 was required across the board.
The BC PNP Tech Pilot provides a fast-tracked, immigration pathway for in-demand IT workers and international students through BC’s existing provincial immigration streams.
In order to be considered for immigration to British Columbia through this program, candidates need to have a valid job offer of a least one year in length in one of the Tech Pilot’s 29 eligible occupations.
Individuals who wish to apply under a Skills Immigration category must first create a profile through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
Applicants are evaluated based on factors such as level of education, work experience, proficiency in English and location of employment.
Express Entry candidates who receive a nomination from British Columbia will be awarded an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and are effectively guaranteed an Invitation To Apply (ITA) in a future federal draw.
