the CanadaVisa Team - 15 May, 2019
British Columbia invited 77 Skills Immigration and Express Entry B.C. candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through its Tech Pilot in a draw held May 14.
This was the third draw in a row to see a minimum score of 90 in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program's Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams.
The BC PNP Tech Pilot works to ensure that the province's technology sector can attract and retain the talent it needs to continue growing by providing a fast-tracked pathway to Canadian permanent residence.
Among other eligibility criteria, the pilot requires a one-year, full-time job offer from a B.C. employer in one of its 29 specified occupations. The job offer must have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application to the BC PNP.
Skilled Workers and International Graduates invited under the Express Entry BC stream who are approved for a British Columbia provincial nomination will receive an additional 600 Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points toward their Express Entry profile.
