British Columbia held another round of draws on November 26, issuing a grand total of 355 invitations.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) dealt out 348 invitations to candidates in the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories.
The Express Entry BC (EEBC) Category is for candidates with a valid profile in the federal government’s Express Entry system, which is Canada’s main pathway for skilled immigrants who want to obtain Canadian permanent residence.
The Skills Immigration Category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in high demand in the province.
Both categories require candidates to register using B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), which provides eligible candidates with a score based on factors such as their offer of employment, location in B.C., education, language ability and wage.
The minimum score requirements were between 77 and 103 in the latest selection round.
The remaining seven invitations went to candidates of the Entrepreneur Immigration — Regional Pilot category.
Experienced foreign entrepreneurs who either want to establish a business in a B.C. regional community or who want to manage and invest in a B.C. business may be eligible for this category.
Candidates also need to have a net worth of at least $300,000 to qualify.
The minimum score required for the Entrepreneur Immigration — Regional Pilot category was 120.
Use the CanadaVisa Skills Immigration Registration System Calculator to determine your potential score under the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
