British Columbia has issued new invitations to Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates through its Tech Pilot in a draw held April 2.
The new draw saw 26 invitations issued to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams. This was also the first Tech Pilot draw in recent memory in which invitations were issued to Entry Level and Semi-Skilled candidates.
The Tech Pilot assists B.C. employers in hiring in-demand foreign talent by providing a fast-track, permanent immigration pathway for international tech workers and graduates of eligible B.C. higher-learning institutions.
In order to be eligible, candidates must have a valid job offer in one of the program's specified occupations. The job offer must be for at least one year and have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application.
Express Entry candidates who receive a nomination from British Columbia will be awarded an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
