Canada invited 3,600 federal Express Entry system candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a new invitation round on September 18.

The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this invitation round was 462, a slight decrease from the 463 cut off we saw on the September 4 draw.

Only those candidates with a score of 462 who submitted their Express Entry profile on or before August 29, 2019, at 07:57:13 UTC were invited to apply in this round.

The Express Entry system manages the pool of eligible candidates for Canada's Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates are awarded a score under the CRS based on factors like age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French and a set number of the highest-ranked are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through regular draws from the pool.
