Hello All,

I've placed my profile in the system and I've been working full time for a year (non-stop) in Toronto for two different companies but under the same NOC. In spite of that, I'm not getting any points for Canadian Work Experience:

Experience 1:
2016/FEB - 2016/SEP
37.5 hours per week
NOC 2174
Canada

Experience 2:
2016/OCT - TODAY
37.5 hours per week
NOC 2174
Canada

My understanding is that it does NOT have to be the same employer for at least a year but I'm not sure if I'm interpreting things correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes , it doesn't have to be from same/1 employer and continuous either ! suppose to work.

Thanks OMG_Chakromakro, that's what I thought. Any suggestions on how to proceed at this critical point? :(

Has it been 24 hours since you added these details?

No, I placed this information when I started working for the second company in Oct/2016 and thought that in Feb/2017 the points automatically would kick in but nothing happened.

Maybe it will take another month as you left in september abs started back in october.
But that is just a speculation, better option will be to ask a professional or call cic

It takes 24 hours for points to be added after changes. Just wait.

You may want to edit application & transmit data again if it's not updated automatically.

Thank you, softwaretesting. Yes. I did that last knight. Hopefully, after hours, the points will kick in. Otherwise, I will have to call CIC.

It is Suppose to reflect your score right away or maybe in an hour or so , try moving the dates around ,? see if that works ?

After each in-Canada job entry, you are asked:

"Do any of the following conditions apply:

Working legally in Canada during this time?
Studying full-time while doing this job?
"

If you answered those incorrectly, your work experience would be considered invalid. You must answer "yes" to the first question (if you answer no, you are saying you worked illegally) and "no" to the 2nd question (if you say yes, you are saying you were a student and no experience as a student is accepted).

Thank you, jes_ON. I answered both questions correctly so I think I'll call CIC tomorrow and post the answer.

Im pretty sure that the cic system see the gap between sep and oct. Propably you need write feb 2016-sep2016 and sep 2016- feb 2017 or feb 2016-oct 2016 and oct 2016-feb 2017. I had the same problem with my work history form last 10 years.

On this regard I have a question.

I have Canadian experience (from Jan 2013 to June 25th 2015) and while filling EE (pre-ITA) it asks and I quote :

While legally in Canada during this time ?
A person must have:
1. been working on a valid work permit or exempt from needing one,
2. had legal status the whole time they were in Canada, and
3. not stayed longer than the approved time period.

What should I answer to this question(yes/no) as my visa extension application got refusal on 25th June 2015 and I travelled back to my home country on 1st July 2015 and I didn't work from 26th June to 1st July.

If there was an option to select the date, I would have given the exact date but its in MM,YYYY format.
I am thinking of answering YES and post ITA, I would include refusal letter.

Please advise?

The problem was solved. I followed these steps:

Reported a "Technical issue" through the website. Got no answer after 24 hours.
I called CIC today and explained the situation. They say they don't take those enquiries on the phone and I should fill an IRCC web form instead.
I withdrew my application and created a new one from scratch with the exact same information. I got the points that I was missing.

Hope this helps anyone facing a similar issue.
