Hello everyone,
I'm currently on a YP Visa until April 2024.
My PR application is nearly completed - just waiting for the eCoPR right now, which should be submitted soon.
As I need to travel by beginning of November and I am planning to leave the company anyway (they won't let me leave for 3 weeks in November), I need to plan further steps.
Assuming I haven't received the eCoPR by then:
If they terminate me, I know I would keep my status (YP Visa) and can re-enter Canada, as long as I don't work for another employer (until april).
Does anyone know if that is the same for my spouse's open work permit, who is bound to my visa? Normally it shouldn't affect his'.
Should I have received the eCoPR by then, then I'd need to apply for the PRTD to re-enter.
My question is mainly based on what would happen to my spouse's open work permit in case we have not received the eCoPR by then?
It's very unlikely, but who knows with IRCC..
I hope it's not too confusing.
Appreciate every help.
Thanks,
Sarah
