Please how many days does it usually take to get a reply or passport request for canadian student visa after medicals updated to passed?

I saw an update in my cic portal.

How did it appear? What did they say? I wanna make sure since i’m trying to know the status of my application?

It appeared four days after being called for medicals by Cic.
It reads " You passed the medical exam"
Did you apply online or offline.
I applied online.
So can you still help with my first question?

I applied through a paper application and linked it to my online account.
I’m not sure exactly but this is what i find when i open my account
In the DETAILS it says SUBMITTED and when i press on CHECK STATUS AND MESSAGES i don't know where my application exactly is! As in, is it in Biometrics, Background check or where?
Under Application Status and Where is this application? it says the following
Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Help - Review of eligibility
Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Sorry for the late reply.
Once you press check status and messages, you will exactly the things you posted. Those you saw normal and not specific. For your application status, it means it is still in progress.
As you previously said that, you did upfront medicals.
I strongly believe that once cic receives your medical results and make a decision on that, that section will be updated.

Jordan, and they don’t ask for a medical exam except in some cases only.
I’ve been asking here about my status that’s why i uploaded what i was getting in the Application Status.
So, it’s not specific for my application status; as this meant to be general info for all or did it proceed through all of them? Can’t understand where my application is!!!
Do you get all of what i got in you application status in general?

It looks strange to me since you said earlier on that your application has taken five months and yet no reply.
However, I strongly think the delay is as a result of your "Background Check".
Maybe there is something you provided they need to really check it out before deciding on your application.
I am confident you will surely her from cic.

Of course it helps mate. I just don’t get it, really. So late for a student visa.
The guys seem to know about their status, everyone. I though that they literally could track it with the background, medical, and everything else.

I just got my medical examination status updated and have the same question. How long is it gonna take?
