While filing WES ECA form, I am being asked my tenure of degree (2002-2006) and year the degree was awarded.

I completed by B.Tech in 2006 and was awarded provisional degree in 2006.

The actual degree however, was awarded in Feb 2007.

I believe the section "Year the degree was awarded" should be 2006.
Or is it 2007...please guide.

Right the Date of Award as mentioned on your actual degree, i guess it should be same on both provisional & actual

Actually no.
The provisional degree was awarded in Aug'06 whereas the actual degree was awarded in Feb'07.
That is why I am confused.

I did the same mistake.

so, please put 2006 year i.e. when you completed your degree.

Do not put 2007 even if you get the final certificate in 2007, it will lead to confusion for them.

The year awarded should always be the year when you passed the exams irrespective of the printing date mentioned on certificates. Certificates can be printed in any year be it 2006 or 2016 but you earned the credentials by passing the exam in 2006 so it should be 2006.

Thank you. I have successfully initiated the ECA procedure with WES and my university.

I have one query though. The degree xerox that I have to send to WES myself.. It should be colored print or black n white simple photostat.

There is no such info provided. Thank you.

A neat coloured photocopy would suffice.

Thank you everyone.
To remove any error from my end, I have forwarded both Provisional as well as Actual degree to WES.

I am sure they have enough experience in documentation validation to figure out my degree is completed in 2006.
