I called immigration Canada just now cause I didn't get anything in the mail like some of the april applicants did for spousal sponsorship and the agent said that they sent off a letter to me on July 13th which stated that I got approved for sponsorship!!! And the application was sent off for the next step of reviewing the permanent residency application. I am sooo happy and so relieved!!! I was getting worried. He said that if I don't get the letter in the mail within this week then to call them back cause there may or may not been instructions for me in the letter for medical, etc. I've sent those already w/the application but not sure if i have to renew anything....but so happy now!

I think if you include your email in your application they email you, it's an implied directive to contact you through email. I remember reading that somewhere but it wasn't really obvious in the application.
