Wrong mother's name in birth certificate

Hi, My mother's name is wrong in my birth certificate. Will it be fine or do I need to get it changed from the authorities?
Or if its not fine, then is there a way out for this?

You don't need to submit your birth certificate.

Use your passport to show your mother's name.

I recommend adding OINP in the post title so ppl know that you are asking for OINP. It is confusing because CIC doesn't ask for birth cert while OINP does ask.

Also, I am not sure if you need to correct your birth cert or get one and the same person affidavit. Hope someone will be able to answer you. Good luck!!!
