Wrong marital status

I received a Corp on 25 Jan and I left for India for an arrange marriage on 26th telling my lawyer that I will get married before I land in Canada. Unfortunately marriage was postponed but my lawyer changed my marital status and my Corp is cancelled. Cic asked for my wife's application which does not exist. Is this situation fixable

A reminder that one should only update the marital status after the actual marriage.
