Wrong common law date on visitor visa

My bf and I just noticed that on his visitor visa application , he has the wrong dates under the “were you previously married or in a common relationship” question.

We were common law before but had broken up and now living together Again and hoping to do spousal sponsorship next year

We were common law from January of 2021 but his visa has from September of 2021.

He will be applying for a visitor record soon. How do we rectify this ?

You need to address that very carefully. It could be considered as misrepresentation or some manipulation.

It's your call. But in my opinion a detailed letter of explanation would be enough. It might not be that critical for a visitor record.
