Hello people,

Well the situation is complicated and I hope so that someone know what to do or give me some direction on getting more information.

I have Work permit(LMIA valid until March) that expires 06/2021 and company that was sponsor for that wp going bankrupt. What do I do?
-Do i need to report that to someone?
-Do I have legal right to stay and look for another job, and does new employer/job offer need to be with LMIA.

Also I have 3 year of experience in Canada with full time job. It's high demand ( construction work). I want to apply for Express entry program/ let's say that I have 3 job offers but none of them doesn't have LMIA , can that kind of job offers be useful for Expres entry application?

Any suggestion, info, contact, lawyer or anything that you think will be helpful let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Dino

- No, you don't have to report this to anyone.
- Yes, you have the legal right to remain in Canada and look for another job as long as your work permit is valid. Yes, your new employer needs to obtain an new LMIA and you need to obtain a new work permit before you can start working for a new employer.
- A job offer is only useful for Express Entry if you have an approved LMIA. Then you can claim 50 points.
