WP IN PROCESS-PR PPR RECEIVED, need advise please...

Last March 8, I submitted my wp application (Canadian embassy in Saudi Arabia). In that application I mentioned that I have a pending PR application under processed by CHC London. Just 2 days ago, I received PPR for my PR visa application. The date of the letter is March 8, 2011 and asked us to submit within 45 days, meaning the deadline would be April 23, 2011. Before I applied for work permit, i sent e mail to CHC London asking for my status and asked their advise as well if I still have to file for the WP (have LMO and job offer which was forwarded too to CHC London) or just wait for my PR to be finalized. But I did not get any reply. So, I decided to file for my WP application. Now my problem is that my passport is inside Canadian embassy here in Saudi Arabia. How can I get it, so i can send it to CHC London? Do I have to cancel my WP application? Can I ask them to return to us the passport even if it is unfinished? There is no way they will deny my WP application. I have done my meds already and everything was straightforward. Are they not going to release my passport not until WP application is finished? What if they will release it after the deadline set by CHC for my PR visa stamping? Will it not be a problem having a WP and PR visa at the same time? Need your comments and advises please....Thank you very much..

1. Cancel your WP ask for the return of your passport so you can send it to London.

Thanks PMM. OMG! too scared to do that...Are they not going to return my passport if I will not cancel my WP application?

How about if i will just wait for my wp to finish, and write to London CHC to ask for an extension of the deadline of the passport submission? Can I do this? Please reply. Thank you.

No, do what PMM advised. They WILL send your passport back to you. If it will make you feel better, send a copy of the PR passport request with your letter to withdraw the WP application. Advise them clearly of the deadline you are facing with the passport submission for the PR visa. Send it by fax. You will be fine.

Now, two seniors have advised me to cancel my WP application, seems this is really the best thing to do. And yes, sending cancellation request letter and the CHC PPR letter by fax i think is the better option. Thank you rjessome and PMM. More power to both of you.

Can you tell me what kind of your Permanent Residence is it, Federal skilled worker or PNP? and when did you submit that application to London office?
