Hello, I live in Sweden, I am 24 years old.

I work as a plumber, I studied plumbing for 3 years and have 4 years of work experience, I own my own buisness, got 4 employees and make about 400,000 SEK or 59.019.00 CAD a year. I want to move to Canada and work for someone as a plumber, initially, but my goal would be to start my own buisness there too, I just need to get to know Canada first I guess, and there might be a language barrier because I don't know the names of all the tools in English, even though my English is good, in 6th-7th grade I went to an internation English school.
Also; I've never been charged with a crime, was arrested as a suspect of a crime (fraud) in 2011 but never charged, innocent ofcourse, that won't be a problem right?
I've always wanted to move to Canada and now decided to start checking what's up. So my question is as the title states.

Hoping I'm not too vague about information or that this isn't a moronic question, just ask if there's some other information needed to answer this question. I just started looking.

I would like to give you the advice to come here first as a visitor and explore the reality and then make up your mind about coming to Canada for longer time.

Do you have Swedish passport? If you do have you can come anytime you want here and explore the possibilities in person. The Europeans can stay here long time as visitors so you would have enough time to see the reality.

That makes sense. I do have a Swedish passport.
Is there any way to rent a house and maybe work a bit in Canada as a tourist? Is there som possibility I could be temporarily allowed to work and get a paycheck?

And the fact that I've been arrested but never charged, will that be a problem? Another guy (a buisness partner) was charged with the crime, he was trying to frame me so it's obvious that I'm innocent.

You can rent a house, no problem. Most of the landlords here needs only the money in advance, and you are done with the accommodation.

You can work here by getting your money cash, many people does that but officially is illegal to work here without legal authorisation.

So this option is not good for you because it means absolutely low standard of living.

Getting you money by check means that you have to poses a government authorisation to work legally here.

But I'm sure that there is a high possibility for you to change your mind when you come here in person and check the reality.

Hi,
Just a quick reminder...
This is a citizenship thread and you might find better answers on a immigration/PR thread since most of us on here has been done with the Work permit/PR process for quite some time now and the process changes so randomly and often, we don't keep up with the changes as we don't need to.

Although, please see my recommendation below.

- You are a plumber. In a Canada you will need a Canadian "ticket" (red seal) to work in this trade, Your current foreign credentials will need to be assessed and compared to that of a Canadian qualification. please follow this link for more information http://www.red-seal.ca/tr.1d.2@-eng.jsp?tid=181
- You will be required to do an english test, this is now a requirement and there is unfortunately no way around it. Please see this link - https://www.ieltscanada.ca/
- Since you were not convicted (if that is the case) of a crime, this should not be a problem.
- There are many requirements to qualify to come to Canada, please go to the following link and do the questionnaire to see your best options http://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/eapp/eapp.do;jsessionid=6415EC5586BBC8F5A10FF1DB4225D5CC

I hope you find your answer, once again, please find a Immigration thread on this forum, you will most certainly find better answers there...
