Would a missing birth certificate make a difference?

The birth certificate in question is actually my father's, who is now a citizen of Canada. So while I have his PR card to prove ties in Canada (along with all the supporting documentation for my sister and her family who are also Canadian citizens), he lost his birth certificate years ago (even before he migrated to Canada).

Will the authorities make a big deal about this when I send my docs to OINP? Else, all my other documentation seems well in order.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Now that your father is already a PR, there should not be any consideration about his birth certificate. As long as you have your birth certificate, and he has all the documents proving his PR/Citizen status, it should be fine.
