Hello everyone, I am here to seek advice and information about my situation. I got my PR application approved last July. I have my passport with me with the immigrant visa and COPR. A year and a half ago CBSA seized an identity document from me. They seized it by mail. They called me and notify me by writing that the identity document (driver's licence) from back home was seized because it was counterfeit. My mom sent me the mail and my mom didn't know that the licence was fake. My mom was fooled by the people working at the issuing agency back home. My question, do you think when I cross the border they will hold me because of this? Is there a chance that they are not gonna let me back in to Canada and not finalize my PR. It's just frustrating because I called CIC and been waiting for almost 6 weeks now for an appointment at CIC office in Edmonton. I just don't know what to do. Thank you for the help.

I find it odd how you had a document seized, but assuming that is what actually happened, if they had a problem with it you would not have got your COPR. You were not charged with any crime so obviously they did not think it a big deal.
My mom sent a mail that is address to me so it appears that I was trying to import the identity document. I have no criminal charges or anything.Aquakitty said:

i do not undestand why people makes stupid mistakes and comes up with lame excuses,why don`t you do your license in alberta like everyone does istead of trying to fake a document from back home to prove that you had driving experince so you can get a license dirctly without any waiting period,it is ridiculous to cheat the system to pass by when you have been given a chance to become a permanent resident in a great democratic and free country called canada.
do not tell me your mom fakes a license and mails it out of you just like that,im sure it was your idea...bottom line if you wanna live in canada please respect its rules and responsabilities stop cheating the system,im tired of people like you and this is clear why the rules are getting tightned because people like you takes advantage of the genorisity of the system.

First of all, I did not ask my mom to fake a licence, I asked her to ask the government agency back home if I could get a licence and the government agency back home said "YES" even though I'm here. I kinda doubt it so I asked my mom to ask the agency again if they are sure because if they are gonna give me fake licence then that's a NO. Not knowing that they are gonna give us a fake licence at the end. I never wanted to cheat the system. Second, do you think I would want to jeopardize my stay in Canada? NO. I started working when I was 7 and I worked all my life to be here. People around me knows what I've been through to get where I am now. And lastly, I'm really thankful of all the blessings that I have received, I'm just seeking answers here not judgement my friend. God Bless.

Yes, I agree with canadavisa 13, because of these fake document/s produced by some immigrants- some rules became strict or very strict, like nursing profession in Manitoba. But I would say that if your mom went to the government agency to obtain a driving license for you, why is it a fake one...vherpunzalan said:
