Hi guys

My friend is about to start the process and he has both a bachelors and masters. He did his bachelors in another country and that university is really difficult to get in touch with to get them to send the transcript request form along with the transcript, they only have an option on their website for the address for it to be sent to but no option to upload the WES transcript form and no one answers the phone. His Masters however was done in the country he currently lives in so its easy for him to just drive there and handle the transcript request etc. Can he just send his Masters to WES? Will CIC accept an assessment for only his masters? Is there anyone here who just got their masters evaluated and didn't bother with their bachelors?

WES can, and has, asked for evidence of Bachleors degree if you send only the Masters degree for ECA.

Instead of waiting for WES to ask that (and delay the process further), recommend that your friend puts in all possible efforts to get his Bachelors evaluated as well along with Masters.

Even if WES doesn't ask for it, CIC could ask for the Bachelors ECA at a later date and you don't want to be in that situation.

Also, since WES has country specific document requirements (Check here ---> http://www.wes.org/ca/application/apply_now.asp) you might want to see what exactly are the requirements for both the degrees/countries before proceeding further.

Worst case scenario, submit just the Masters to WES and keep fingers crossed throughout the process till you land a PR!

All the best!

I have only done my ECA for my master's with WES without providing any proof of my bachelor's degree. It got evaluated with no problem. Regrading the CIC, I really don't know. People are saying you should provide it and others are saying no as it doesn't effect your EE points. To be honest, I'll upgrade my ECA to include my bachelor's just in case it is required. It seems that you need to provide everything to CIC even if they don't ask for it.

Thanks guys. Was hoping to find out a for sure definite answer from someone who either applied with just the masters and was accepted or did the same thing and was rejected. Guess he will have to decide if to take the risk or not
