So I applied for an extension of my open PGWP before it was expired , so maintained my status. I got laid off during the winter lockdown Dec 2020- Jan 2021 and my WP expired soon after together with my SIN. And Im still laid off since the winter lockdown is now a spring shutdown.
And while Im waiting for the decision, would I actually be able to find a job , like any grocery store or anything essential? I know it says that you can continue working while waiting for a decision on your extension, and my old WP was open, so I could choose to work anywhere, but do people actually get hired when they are in this weird status situation?
It's just my SIN is expired and Im not sure employers will love that, or is it like up to an employer if they are okay with it or not ?
Its just its a lockdown and a pandemic, kinda would be nice to make some money ... Thank you
