can anyone give me a list of what i need to apply for a working visa.im 25 years old and a car mechanic.im sure i need to apply through the skilled worker programme but im not sure if thats the best option.should i just go through an agency and let them handle it? i contacted one today and they are saying it will be 2000 or so dollars for the visa and 800 for their service.is that about right? also i noticed todat that the visa fees were about 150 dollars so im having a bit of trust issues with these companies because they are quoting huge amounts of money for something that appears to be relatively cheap.if anyone could give me advice that would be much appreciated becuause i feel a little lost with it all.

If you want to work in Canada temporarily, then you need to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a full time job and then that employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA (permission to hire you). You can then apply for a work permit.

Be careful about agencies who offer to find you a job in exchange for money. It's illegal to do this. Many of them are scams and you'll lose your money and be left with no job. So no - $2K for the visa and $800 is absolutely not right - it's illegal and most likely a scam.
