Hey, I hope this issue isn't already overdone on these forums.
I am a Canadian citizen and I have been offered a teaching position at an American university. The school has its main office in Illinois, but the actual school is in Jerusalem, Israel. I will be teaching 3 week study tours, so all I need from Israel is the tourist visa (which is standard for the other American professors). It is also impossible to wrangle a work visa from the Israelis. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get paid by them. I was told at the border that no work visa would be appropriate, because I will not fulfill the residency qualification. Would I be able to contract my services to them in some way without having to be technically employed by them?
Thanks,
Spencer Elliott
