I will be travelling to Canada with my spouse for 3 weeks to visit some of my old friends and their families. We are Indian citizens with valid stamped US work (H1B and L1B) VISA's in our passports.

We are in the process of getting visitor visas to CA. We would like to work remotely for our US employer during our stay in Canada. The organisation has no clients or ties in Canada and we just need our laptops and wifi to work

I would appreciate any advice or thoughts on the following:

1. Will I have any trouble entering Canada through a road border? I live 6 hours away from the Windsor border tunnel and plan to drive our personal car across.

2. Do we need a work visa to work remotely in Canada? The plan is just for 3 weeks and in the tourist visa application I mentioned it as a reunion with my friends and their families.

3. In my visa application I attached a tentative travel itinerary where I would stay at a AirBnb, take rest on week days and visit friends and families on weekends. Will there be any issue with this plan? Basically I would like to work during my week days.

4. What, if anything, do I need to say to the border officer if they ask me about my plans in Canada? We will be carrying our work laptops in the car along other things.

5. Since we have valid stamped VISA's, will we be issued a new i94 by the US CBP while we enter back?

Thank you!
