Working on closed permit and quit my job and wants to re-enter Canada

Hi

I am working in Canada on closed work permit which is valid till Oct 2020 now my employer is ending my Canada assignment and asked me to come back to my country due to that I quit my job and leaving Canada

My wife is working in Canada on open work permit and she cannot go back till Oct 2020.I am planning to go back my country and come back again as I have valid work permit and visa till Oct 2020.

My concern is whether Immigration officer will allow me to enter Canada again because my current employer is going to start visa cessation process after my last working day (Not sure when).

Could someone advise me the whether I can re-enter Canada without any issues.

I personal think you can return to Canada provided that you have a valid visitor visa.
But if your employer has cancel your work permit by then, you may not be able to work legally in Canada until you are granted a new work permit again. Your wife Open Work Permit might not be affected however, please check with other members here. Her open work permit follows the expiry date of the main one (yours)

There is no "visa cessation procedure" by your employer. Your TRV will remain valid.
