I worked part time on campus for few weeks in my final semester at university while studying part time. Before that I was full time student for 3 years and half.
When I started my work, I thought work permits are not required for working on campus. I also had a valid SIN number. But recently one of my friends told me since I was part time student, I should have probably applied for a temporary work permit first.
Is this true? Is it a big deal? Will I get caught for this in the future when I apply for PR?
I was paid about 1500$ for that job. I don't owe taxes for that much income in my province but I'm wondering if I should mention it on my tax forms?

You don't need a work permit on campus as long as you are a registered student.
