Working on a WP from employer "A" , will be quitting -is the stay valid ?

The scenario is like this

1.Working for an employer "A" , WP valid till 2011 May
2.Will be quitting the services of "A"
3.After quitting ,wont work for some time but would be searching for employment
4 Till the time I get another employment and WP for current employer is valid , can I stay in Canada ?
