To work in Canada you need a valid status which allows you to work. It can be a closed or open work permit or permanent residency (I don't know if there is any other title for such a document). To get a work permit usually you need to find an employer who wants to hire you. They usually should apply for LMIA to be able to help you to get the wp, and it is not very easy to find such an employer, but is not impossible and many people manage to do it every year. I think depends on the type of work and the job market.
The exception is if the job is LMIA-Exempt and very few jobs are exempt from LMIA. In that case it is much easier for the employer to hire you because they would not have to go through LMIA process.

The easier option is applying for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR). It requires that you are first eligible for one of the PR categories and if so you can make a profile in the Express Entry pool. Then depending on your points you may or may not be invited to apply for PR. Your profile can remain in the pool for one year. If you receive an invitation to apply then you can apply for PR. If no invitation is issued to you in a year then your profile expires and you can of course make a new profile as you did before, assuming that you are still eligible for entering the pool for at least one of the PR programs.

An easier way that many people come to Canada is coming as a student to study in Canada. After studying it will be easier to manage to stay and work.

I hope this helps and I hope people who work in your field give you more information regarding the job market in that section.
