Hi everyone,

I am just wondering what are the chances I get a job Canada ?
I am a non-Canadian citizen petroleum engineer with an MSc form the US. in petroleum engineering and two years of industry experience with a major oil service company but outside of Canada. Will be staying in Canada under a study permit for my PhD (I've been already admitted but have not started my studies )

Thank yous

If Albertan oil does not run out before you finish your PhD,
and if you will be ready to tolerate extreme North weather,
and if you find a company that will not be scared by your PhD (which tends to be viewed as overqualification - myself I have a PhD too)
then you have a sensible chance of getting a job in your field.

Hi seniors,
How much the NOC code does important for getting job after arrival to Canada as a FSW for employers?
I mean we have to seek for a job which is relevant to our NOC code or we can do another job?
Does any employer really care about that?
Cheers,

Are you currently living/working in Canada ?

Your study permit states you can't work in Canada.
