Hey, I want to immigrate to Canada. I don’t have much money to attend university, so I was thinking of going to college to acquire a diploma. There’s an accelerated 3 semesters Early Child Education program I looked into. I wanted to know if I could get a job; I read online that International students can get up to 3 years permission to work but in my case, only 3 semesters, I want to know if I could get any permission to work afterwards. Eventually, I want to get a permanent resident status.

If your aim is PR, then you will need to take a two year program in Canada so that you qualify for a three year work permit. If you take a 3 semester program, you'll end up with a work permit that's only as long as the studies you have completed and your chances of PR will be extremely low.

So if I take the same exact program and it’s one more semester, aka 4 semesters, I should be fine??

The program has to be full time and be classified as a two year program to get the three year PGPW.
