Hello guys,

I am confused regarding work hours, As I have work experience on 2 different NOC. I worked as full time (42 hours/week)college teacher for 20 months (Number of hours= 3200 hours) and also worked part time (24 hours/week) as Health researcher prior to working as college teacher (Total number of hours=1728)

So in total I have 4928 hours of work experience. As it is more than work hours that can be accumulated working full time for 3 years (4696 hours), can I claim points for 3 years or not? I have seen some of the people saying that part time means 15 hrs and full time means 30 hours per week. As one of my above mentioned job was part time, does this really matters.

However when I entered my info in express entry portal it has provided me points equivalent to 3 years. But I want be assured now so that they wouldn't reject my application only on the basis of these issues.

Pre-Assessed..
For your full-time experience you should not be counting hours but rather the weeks worked full-time. From the information you provided you have 20 months of full-time work experience.

Convert your part-time work experience into the equivalent weeks on a full-time basis and add it to the 20 months of work experience and see if you meet 36 months of full-time work experience.
