Hello, once I am in Canada on a 12 month IEC. Can I change my status to visitor? If so how long is that process and do I have to leave Canada and enter at a port of entry? Thanks for any information.

For a visitor visa you have to apply from out side Canada. Check websites of Canadian Missions in nearest countries about the processing time of visitor visa.
