Working Holiday Visa - HRSDC exempt?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

I'm applying for permanent residency while in Canada on a working holiday visa.

Does obtaining a job under a working holiday visa make it confirmation exempt from the HRSDC?

My boss didn't have to apply for a Labour Market Opinion to hire me.

But if I'm applying to become a permanent resident, will I need to get this paperwork processed?

From what I understand, my boss DOES need to fill out an Arranged Employment Opinion application form to support my application.

Do I have my facts straight? I'm trying to make sure I've got these instructions crystal clear so I don't screw this application up...

P.S. Another random question! The photo requirements on my visa office's (buffalo) checklist requires that I provide 4 photos of each member of my family and myself (appendix a, article 13.) When they define family in the application guide, they say it means spouses, children, and children's children. None of which I have *phew!* ;) lol

But in schedule 1 - background/declaration, they ask about my parents.

in additional family information, they ask about my brothers and sisters.

Does this mean I need to provide photos of them as well??

Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this, and double thanks for a response. You guys have so far helped me a lot in understanding this giant application... hoping you can help again :)

1. Yes you require an AEO as IEC (WHV) was issued under R205(b).
2. No, only photos for yourself.

I understand that you can work in Canada for now (1 year) through IEC program without LMO.

You dont need Arranged Employment Opinion if you have enough points for application under FSW1 category and your occupation is on the NOC 29 list. If not, then you need Arranged Employment Opinion, but it does not give you a right to work in Canada before you become permanent resident. You have to be careful what to do after your working holiday visa expires, because it is the work permit which will gives you a chance to stay or work in Canada after your working holiday visa expires and for that you need Labour market opinion. After your Working Holiday visa expires, you are not excluded from issuing LMO. At least I understand this as I read it on HRSDC site.

I dont think that AEO and permanent residency can be solved in 12 months.
