Hi all,

I am new to here, my working holiday visa is approved and has planned to go to Canada in late June 2017. I am looking at a full time one-year study programme which starts at jan 2018.

And I have two questions.

1. I know I can hold student permit and working holiday visa at the same time, so does it imply i can study full time and work full time before my working holiday visa expires in june 2018?

2. While I am in Canada, can I apply for the student visa without leaving the country, meanwhile, work full time as allowed by my working holiday visa?

Anyone has idea on the above?
Thank you so much!!

Others can comment but personal view is that once you start your course that the study permit rules take priority over the WHV so from that point you can only work part time.

That rule for the study permit is in place for a purpose given study should be the priority not work and anyway how could anybody really work 30/40 hours a week and successfully stay focussed on study full time ?

As said this would be my view given there is no specific case other than it is possible as you say to hold both WHV and study permit at same time as that is stated on the CIC website but others can comment as this is just my interpretation based on what seems to make common sense and may be wrong.
