Hi guys and girls,

just wondering if anyone can help me on this one;

Im working for a canadian company, the job is remote based, I invoice my hours to them, so am considered a contractor.

Im wondering when my IEC and work permit expire and I need to leave Canada, am I legally still able to work for them, as I can do this work outside of canada?

Many thanks for any information anyone can pass on.

My understanding would be you can work for any company you want even if that company is Canada based as long as you are not physically doing that work on Canadian soil without a work permit. Not sure if there are any tax implications if you are paid into a Canadian account although obviously could be tax implications in your home country on WW income others would need to comment on that.
