Hi Experts,

Please help me with this confusion. I have work permit extension application in-progress and currently on implied status (filed extension before the expiry of my PGWP). I received Negative decision on LMIA, and I am still on implied status and still working.

I have decided to apply for study permit and was filling all the documents and wondering, whether i should mention in my application that i had applied for an extension of work permit before the expiry of PGWP ?

I am stating that i had applied for an extension for work permit before the expiry of PGWP but to meet my job role/career requirements, I have decided to enrol into study program. is this good idea ? Or i shouldn't mention this at all ?

I'm not sure I would mention the extension.

I assume you are sending the application for the study permit to the visa office responsible for your home country. I don't think there's any other way for you to applied given you are already on implied status and your work permit extension is guaranteed to be refused.
