Worker permit

[Canada Study Visa]

Hi there,
I have been accepted for 2 years GBM course in Canada. Along with a study permit I will get 3 yrs open work permit. Do I get this work permit after completing my college studies or in the 2nd year of my course? Can I work for an IT company (part-time) during my studies even if I don't have an open work permit?

You don’t get a PGWP until you have completed the program. If your study permit allows, you can work 20 hours per week off campus.
