Worked to set up business in last two years..is this OK as work experience

I have 9 years of experience .But in the last two years I have not worked in any company ..I have been trying to setup my own business .

Is this OK because I want to apply to a good university for MBA ?

is there any documentary evidence that u worked for 9years? is there also evidence that u want to start ur business? better still if u have documents showing that you have registereda biz. u are good to go. It all about documents.
